We're back! How were your holidays? Besides a few days of being sick, mine were GREAT! In reflecting over the presents my wife and I gifted many of our friends and family, I realized that our inadvertent theme was the gift of food (including kitchen/bar appliances and tools). Likewise, we were also given a nice variety of kitchen and bar ware. While I stand by the gifts we gave and am enjoying the gifts we received, I came across this short video where Food Network's Alton Brown discusses his top five favorite pieces of kitchen equipment.

Take a look and you might be surprised at the simplicity! That being said, I still think it's awesome that I now have 4 ways to ice my whiskey (that would be regular ice, perfect cubes, stones and balls if you're wondering). Kitchen/Bar presents are the best, but I'll never take Alton's 5 Essentials for granted!
