Last night I had the opportunity to attend an advanced screening of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Let me tell you, I actually didn't think I would enjoy the movie all that much (I'm in the middle of revisiting the Harry Potter series so I'm hypercritical of wizards right now), but I DID! Action, adventure, awesome pipes-there are a lot of cool parts! Also, I realized I can easily come up with a hobbit costume using only materials already in my closet. Sad or awesome?

Now before you hardcore Tolkien fans (or Tolkienists) get all mad because I brought up LOTR vs. HP, I want you to know that this isn't even the point of this entry. The point is that Martin Freeman was great in the movie. Everything he does, even his tiniest actions and expressions, is fantastic. I've become a huge fan of his over the years! He was stellar in my favorite holiday (and Hugh Grant) movie, Love Actually as a stand- in actor on the set of a rather racy movie. He was great in British/original The Office. However, in the show SHERLOCK he is BOMB. Sorry to get all dude bro on you guys, but he just crushes it as Watson in this updated version of Sherlock Holmes. [Fist bump, yeah!]

Here's to you, Martin Freeman! May your new movie receive multiple accolades! Here's to my friends never again confusing you with Morgan Freeman when I bring you up in conversations (which is only going to increase from here on out). Okay, now it's time to call up Benjamin Cumberbatch and get back to filming new episodes of SHERLOCK because I miss it so badly I have the shakes.

P.S. Sadly, Martin Freeman does not have a Twitter account as I discovered on this AWESOME site: www.sherlockology.com

P.P.S. Remember how this whole post started because I saw a movie with a good, albeit less awesome wizard than Dumbledore? 1-2-3...nerd
fight starts now!
