The famous, "Jack" cupcake is back on the menu at Trailercakes. If you don't know about this delicious pumpkin spiced cupcake, filled with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, then covered with marshmallow cream cheese frosting and topped with a spiced candied pecan... now ya do!! This cupcake was the ONLY cupcake I haven't tasted by Trailercakes...until now. After chomping the Jack (in two bites), I died, went to heaven, then came back to eat another cupcake!! oh, my!! I had a Fall flavor explosion in my mouth!
Heather Zidell, CFO (Chief Frosting Officer) is behind all this delicious creativity at Trailercakes and she invited lil 'ol me to come in for a taste of The Jack and have some fun in the kitchen!
As soon as I arrived at the shiny, retro cupcake kitchen, we put on our aprons and got right to work. She pulled out all of her ingredients for us to play with. Watching her in the kitchen is ah-mazing!! Heather is open to all flavor combinations and it seems that there are no set rules, just what tastes good. I promised not to share her secrets in the kitchen but I will say she is a perfectionist when it comes her frostings. I watched her and the staff taste, talk, then taste again until the desired consistency and flavor profile was achieved. We made several different frostings including a homemade cookie butter frosting!! I am still smiling today. I wish that I could have stayed longer but I can assure you that I will be back!
Heather Zidell and Leora Azoulay Lesh like to say they're in the business of selling happiness. I would say that they are doing it!
