Sometimes in the middle of the week, don’t you feel like you need a timeout? Just to chill and regroup? I know I certainly do…..and while in NYC for fashion week, I was able to take a quick spin around Central Park and do just that. Ahh, refreshing! And got me to thinking that I don’t do that enough while I am at home in Dallas!
Today, sadly, doesn’t have any time for relaxing…but it does include a fun-filled party that you can join me for! Join me, along with Dallas’ most fashionable, at Neiman Marcus North Park as we kick off the new fall season with “The Cusp Event” featuring a live concert with Wild Belle! After the concert, we will have an after party at CUSP where you can mingle with me, Wild Belle, and shop till you drop! Sounds fun, right?
What better way to end your hump day?!

Sometimes, you just don’t want to get dressed and look cute, but you have to.
And sometimes those clothes you chose to wear, you don’t want to be touching your body.
And then the more you think about it, you really don’t even want to wear a thong (boy shorts, all day, everyday, please!) or for that matter, put on a bra.
And that is where this dress comes into play…
It was about halfway through Fashion Week, and I was supremely tired, and in one of those moods where the only thing I wanted to do was sit in sweatpants and eat Chipotle (which I managed to get later that day!)….but instead, I had a jam packed schedule and had to pull it together. Thankfully, I had thrown this dress into my suitcase in the final panicked moment of packing, and it seriously saved the day. No to the bra! Yes to the boyshorts! Add some great accessories! And I was set.
What do you wear when you aren’t in the mood to look cute?
Its the first day of NYFW…you would think I had strategically been planning my outfit for weeks, or perhaps months, right?! (Well, I had.) But sometimes life throws you a curve ball and you roll with the punches…or in my case, you “roll with the new Valentino shoes.”
When I arrived at my hotel last night these shoes were waiting for me, courtesy of Net-A-Porter….And like any normal red blooded, red leopard calf hair loving woman, I tried on the damn heels and then refigured my whole outfit accordingly.
So naturally, today the plaid dress and aztec printed blazer could both wait.
Because red Valentino’s don’t happen on just any normal Thursday.
